Roberts Berry Smoothie delivers goodness in every sip

Changing the typical perception of wholesome food as being bland and unsavoury, Roberts sweeps the world by storm with flavour-packed and nutritious berry products guaranteed to delight the palates of even the most discerning consumers.

From a company established in 1910 to produce soft drinks, Roberts has expanded its focus to include innovative premium berry products, jams, fillings, marmalades and extracts.

“Very often, healthy products lack flavour. If it tastes good, it is probably not very good for you. We wanted to change that using the best natural ingredients available to us in the Nordic region, which are wild berries,” says managing director Mikko Roberts.

Good flavour is one of the four elements Roberts incorporates in its products. Keeping a close eye on food trends, Roberts ensures that each product is healthy, easy-to-use and authentic.

Roberts' Berry Smoothie, for instance, uses wildly grown whole berries – including flavonoid-rich skin and seeds – and is packed in a convenient cup for easy drinking. Since the smoothies are plant-based without added refined sugar, they are suitable for people with varying dietary requirements. Roberts' Berry Smoothie was among the most innovative food products in last year’s Anuga food exhibition in Cologne and Salon International de l’Agroalimentaire food show in Paris.

Banking on the popularity of its products in food exhibitions, Roberts aims to make its business more international. As Asian consumers, particularly the Chinese, seek more high-quality commodities, Roberts sees great opportunities in China, Japan and South Korea. Capitalising on promising growth in Asian markets, Roberts has partnered with Shenzhen Nordic Dragon to establish its distribution networks on the mainland, in Hong Kong and Macau.

Aligned with its internationalisation strategy, Roberts also seeks to strengthen its e-commerce platform to optimise its distribution model and help promote a healthy lifestyle to a wider consumer base.
